Melissa grew up in a small town in Minnesota, always knowing she wanted to cook professionally. After graduation from the Culinary Institute of America in New York, and time spent in Las Vegas and San Francisco, Melissa soon claimed New Orleans as home. After honing her craft as the Executive Pastry Chef at the Windsor Court Hotel, Melissa left to pursue her dream of owning her own business. Melissa’s Fine Pastries was born. With each creation Melissa curates, she proves to her clients that they can both look great AND taste great!
Sarah Keese was born and raised in New Orleans. After graduating from LSU with a degree in advertising, she decided she wanted to pursue something more creative. She learned baking/cake design from the ground up by working for a bakery in Baton Rouge for 2 years. She enjoys working with people to develop their ideas and translate them into a perfect cake. Her passion for cake design starts there. Sarah joined Melissa in 2010 and adds a creative design element to Melissa’s culinary brains.
